High-IQ societies set entry at a percentile, not a number: the top 2 per cent of the general population, whatever score that corresponds to on the instrument used.
Why the number varies
On a 15-point scale the cut-off is about 130; on a 16-point scale it is about 132. Same rarity, different figures, because the scale differs.
Supervised testing only
Societies accept results from supervised, individually administered tests. No online instrument, including this one, qualifies for entry.
Using an online score as a signal
A consistently high online result is weak evidence that a supervised test might go well. It is not a substitute and should not be presented as one.
