What counts as a good IQ score
The honest answer is that "good" depends on the comparison you are making. A score is a position in a group, so the group decides what the number means.
The statistical answer
Anything from 90 to 109 is average by definition and describes about half the population. From 110 the score is above average, from 120 it is uncommon, and from 130 it is rare enough that roughly one person in fifty reaches it.
The practical answer
Reasoning scores predict some things weakly and others not at all. They correlate with performance in study and in work that is heavy on abstraction, and they say very little about diligence, judgement under pressure, or how well somebody works with other people.
What to do with a lower score than you expected
Check the conditions first. Time pressure, a noisy room, a small phone screen and a bad night of sleep all move the figure. A single sitting is a snapshot with error attached, not a verdict.

Questions people ask
Is 115 a good score?
It is the 84th percentile — above average and comfortably inside the range typical of graduates in most norm tables.
Does a high score guarantee academic success?
No. It correlates with it, but effort, teaching quality and circumstances account for a great deal more.
